The newest addition to the Mirsky Racing Team, Kyle Langford has shown potential from a very young age, winning the Australian Flying Ant skiff Nationals at the age of ten. He has continuously improved his sailing ability; going on to win Gold at the 2005 ISAF Youth Worlds in the multihull class and in 2007 he was voted Australian Youth Sailor of the year for his achievements.
Kyle has been competing against MRT on the youth match racing circuit for the past few years, but sailed with them in the 2008 Warren Jones Championship for the first time. He was then called upon again for the Danish Open and has since then committed to the full 2009 season.
“I think that being a part of a team that is striving to achieve the same goals as me is very important. The chance to be sailing with 4 other very talented sailors from Australia against the world’s best yachtsmen is an amazing opportunity. The match racing circuit always provides world class competition, it is great to be able to learn and improve my sailing every time we hit the water.”
